The geometric background and gold script will give - even the nicest of vanities - a pretty upgrade. Cue: #topshelfie. It’s clear the brand wants to shower you like the queen and king that you are (no pun intended) - did you see it’s cute crown?

“Do Good, Look great” is the brand mission and Flynn&King is practicing what it preaches. From the gorgeous, sustainable or refillable packaging, to the high-performing, multi-functioning and natural and organic formulas, each of the elements are carefully and consciously sourced from all parts of the world.

So what’s in the recipe-for-good-skin formulas? Beeswax from Upstate New York, Calendula Petals from Croatia, Matcha Green Tea from Japan, Poppy Seed from Turkey, Rose Petals from France, Tea Tree from Australia, Mango Butter from India, Aloe Juice, Activated Charcoal, Pink Clay, and many other essential oils, clays, oils butters and waxes. Worldly ingredients for out of this world products! The two #girlboss founders, Summer Dinh Manske and Corina McDonnell, hand-make the products in small batches to maximize freshness and effectiveness without the use of chemicals, cheap fillers, or preservatives.

I had the chance to get skintimate with a selection of the brand’s body and facial products and I am excited to share insight on the collection with you.

Body

Luxurious. Delicious. Gentle. Moisturizing. High-performing. These are just a few of the words I would use to describe the Flynn&King soaps. Upon first opening the package, you are immediately welcomed by a heavenly aroma. You can smell how fresh the ingredients are. Then, just when you think it can't get any better, it does. Add water, lather, and indulge in the moment. Each of the soaps are gentle and designed to cleanse without over stripping your skin of it's natural oils. There's a soap for everyone so get ready to meet your match!

• DETOX - The Neem and Activated Charcoal Soap is handcrafted for victims of acne, overactive oil glands, and skin disorders that need a little anti-inflammatory boost. This black bar helps to detoxify and soothe even the most stubborn of skin. I’ve been a long time fan of charcoal. As an avid makeup wearer, this is one ingredient that I know will act like a magnet and clean out my pores and absorb all dirt and oil!

• DOPE - The Hemp and Matcha Green Tea Soap lives up to it’s name. The green bar contains ingredients high in antioxidants to naturally cleanse the skin, while aiding in the promotion of new cells, discouraging of premature aging, and evening out of discoloration in skin tone. Now that's a dope soap!

• INNOCENT - Calendula and Chamomile Petals is an exceptionally mild, unscented bar of soap that contains a botanical infusion of chamomile and calendula flowers that soothe and calm irritations. It's specially formulated with Shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil to create a creamy, hydrating, and indulgent experience.

• DRIFTWOOD - Babassu Oil and Pink Clay Soap is a mild cleansing soap that is perfect for all skin types - including very sensitive skin. It’s gently exfoliating, contains anti-inflammatories and antioxidants to provide relief to dry and itchy skin, and antiseptic properties that bring balance to oily skin! Flynn&King donates $1 of every Driftwood soap purchased to I'm From Driftwood, a non-profit devoted to spread unity and acceptance for the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, and queer community through storytelling and story sharing.

• POPPET - This soap be poppin! The Poppy Seed Soap is infused with organic oils that contain Vitamins E and A that are key in bringing moisture to skin. With an awesome balance of cleanser to emollients, it washes without stripping the skin of its natural oils. Organic Turkish Blue Poppy seeds are not only aesthetically pleasing, but provide a powerful scrub for sloughing off dead skin. Use the soap before shaves or on callused feet to to reduce ingrown hairs and smooth out bumpy, dry skin.
